How to Deactivate Unwanted Value-added Services (VAS) on any Mobile Network in India?

People get irritated from the unwanted VAS (Value added services) activation on their mobile number. Sometimes this activation causes loss of our mobile balance (aka talk-time) while we are blissfully unaware!

Repeated calls to the customer care call-centers may not be to everyone's liking due to the connection delays or pain in getting the query answered satisfactorily.

Some people even change their Sim/mobile numbers due to these kind of problems. But this problem can be resolved easily by the method given below! There is no need to change the numbers or get frustrated due to sudden VAS charges deducted from your main balance.

How to Deactivate All unwanted Services on Your Mobile Number?

If any value added service is inadvertently activated on your mobile then follow the steps given below:

1. Just dial 155223 on your mobile. It is Toll-Free mobile number.

2. Then automatic system will ask you to choose your Language (optional Step by some Operators)
It will tell you about all activated services and tell you to press a button to deactivate a particular service (if it is activated on your mobile). For example: Press 1 to deactivate Caller Tune Service etc...

3. Listen to them and press the appropriate key to deactivate any particular service.

4. Go ahead and deactivate all unwanted services from your mobile number. If you Register a complaint about that within 24 hours of service activation, then your amount will be refunded by the service provider.

Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) introduced this new service to improve the quality of service in telecom industry and 155223 is common for all mobile operators, this number works all over India.
